St Margaret's Church
St. Margaret’s – the Parish Church of Starston – stands in the centre of the village on Church Hill above the bridge and across The Beck from the Old Rectory.
Starston has several entries in the Domesday book. The church of St. Margaret’s dates from circa 1300 although evidence of an earlier building is present. The tower and chancel date to the 15th century and are in the perpendicular style.
Starston Tower Ringers
The St. Margaret’s team of consists of bell ringers from Starston and the surrounding area. We always welcome new members to join us. The art of ringing is not difficult- most people can learn (using our teaching method) in a very short time. It should take you just three to five lessons before joining the team for full circle ringing.
Practice is most Wednesdays between 19.00 – 20.00. Service ringing is Sundays from 10.15 – 11.00.
The ringers are also involved in other church activities. Special rings for birthdays and other special days can be arranged.
Visitors are always welcome – just follow your ears at ringing times.
